Rediscovering Ikapati

$15.00

This is my interpretation of Ikapati/Lakapati, the goddess of cultivated land. I call this "Rediscovering Ikapati" because the story behind it is in a way, personal to me. In the image, you see a mother with her children looking at the the land before her. She is fixed in it's beauty and lusciousness. She takes a moment to thank the goddess for allowing her another day to feed her family, and continues to ask for prosperity.

This piece relates to me, in that, I feel like I'm rediscovering my roots. Relearning our Filipino history and sharing it all through my artwork.
