"KAMAYAN means ″hands" in Tagalog — one of eight major Filipino dialects — and is a communal feast where the food is laid out on a bed of banana leaves instead of plates and your eating utensils are your fingers.....The idea is that eating with your hands in this communal way builds trust and intimacy among all the diners. I've been wanting to order the Kamayan Painting for quite sometime. I just received the painting and hung it up immediately. It looks great on the dinning room wall. This painting takes me back to my child hood days eating with my hands with my Lolo, Lola and Aunties. Thank you Ate !!!!!
